The monster chasing me has claws like butcher knives,
Everybody around me is running for their lives.
But I have
no worry about this vicious carnivore,
I won’t even flinch at his bloodthirsty roar.
I don’t have any fear that he’ll catch me today,
For if he chases me I’ll simply walk away.
I now
a little trick that will help me stay ahead,
Zeno’s paradox will keep me from being dead.
When he reaches the place where I was to start,
I will already have moved on to a different part.
When he goes to
catch me at this new place,
I will once again be ahead in another space.
Angry as can be he will charge to that new site,
Only to realize there is nothing there to bite.
The monster will
be so mad he’ll pull out his hair,
Because I’ll never be in the same spot when he gets there.
I was always safe thanks to Zeno’s second paradox,
This monster could not even get a smell of my socks.
Until
calculus was revealed by the scientific community,
And they found how to calculate the approach to infinity.
The paradox is broken and I’m vulnerable to harm,
The monster is after me and I’m sounding the alarm.
Now
he knows he can catch me as I run across the grass,
It’s only moments now before he’s chewing on my leg.
